Fo-Ti like Loranthus nourishes the blood and supports the essence. Traditionally, the herb has been used to reduce cholesterol levels and several laboratory studies support this usage.

Chinese Peony is thought to nourish the blood and sooth the liver which is a reservoir of blood. Within the formula it smoothes the flow of energy and works to prevent congestion.

Schisandra is considered an adaptogen with the ability to help regulate bodily function and respond to stress. It is believed to strengthen and quicken reflexes while improving work efficiency.
